This biographical drama is about a social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented and provided low-cost sanitary napkins to poor women in rural areas. Sonam Kapoor‘s character appears to have helped Padman in his venture, of what we can make out from the trailer. Also starring superstar Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo and Radhika Apte in the lead. Directed by R Balki and produced by Twinkle Khanna the movie is slated for release on this Republic Day, 2018.

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and written by Mehul Suri and Nidhi Mehra, this film is a romantic comedy about four buddies attending a wedding. This Sonam Kapoor starrer film will also see Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar, Sumeet Vyas and Shikha Talsania in the lead roles. The film aims to portray wedding fun from a women’s perspective along with a mix of emotions – just like real weddings. The film is all set to release on May 18, 2018.
Sanjay Dutt Biopic:

The actress is reportedly playing the role of one of Sanjay Dutt’s love interests in the film. According to rumours, Sonam has six to seven minutes of screen space in the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film. She will play one of the pivotal characters in the movie that had an important role in the journey of Dutt. Besides Sonam, the biopic will also star Anushka Sharma and Dia Mirza as the other leading ladies. The rumoured titles of the biopic include, ’Sanju’,’Dutt’ and ‘Baba’.
Sonam Kapoor signed the on-screen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel called The Zoya Factor. The film will be directed by Abhishek Sharma and the rights of the same have been acquired by Adlabs.
