Soni Razdan shared screen space with daughter Alia Bhatt for the first time in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi and we must say she did a fabulous job in the movie. But was it difficult to act in front of her own daughter? Did the shoot go smoothly or were there hiccups? And would she allow Alia to turn into a spy like Sehmat and go across the border to retrieve crucial pieces of information for the Indian army? Well ahead of Mother’s Day, we met Soni Razdan, and in our exclusive chat, she opened up about all these topics and many more things.
Soni Razdan threw some light on the first shot she gave with Alia for Raazi and how they both were very nervous before the take. As she revealed to us exclusively, “Both of us, during the first scene, were nervous because there is so much expectation. My daughter has done so well and I am supposed to be a good actor too, so I had this thought that people will compare us and they will say who is better and who is not better. But then, I told myself that I am her mother, I got to chill and do my job. I put that in my head and did that. The best thing is that when I get onto the set, my professional me takes over, so everything just goes with the flow. You have to do your job at hand and focus on it. So before we even knew, we did our take and we were cool.” (ALSO READ – [Exclusive Video] Soni Razdan on Alia Bhatt being linked up with Bollywood actors: It’s okay, it is a part of our lives!)
