Arjun Rampal, who is currently working for his upcoming movie was fined for two hundred rupees for smoking in public. The Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act prohibits smoking in public places and anybody found guilty could be penalized for the same.
“The complainant Rakesh Kumar Tiwari filed the complaint based on the fact that smoking in public was banned by the Cigarrettes and Other Tobbacco Products Act (Cotpa) of 2003.”
“In his complaint to the SDO, Tiwari said Rampal, being public figure, had sent a bad precedent for thousands who had turned up to watch the shoot.”
“A complaint was received on Thursday. Based on it, Rampal was issued a challan of Rs 200. A circle officer was sent to Ranchi to execute the challan as the actor returned to Ranchi by then,” SDO NK Gupta said.
The Daddy actor is shooting in Jharkhand for his next movie Nastik, where he plays role of a cop.
